​DE'VIA DEAF ART FESTIVAL

​KANSAS SCHOOL F/T DEAF

Thirty-six Deaf artists, art teachers, and Deaf Studies teachers will be participating in a two and one-half day retreat on the Kansas School for the Deaf campus. The following states across the country will be represented: Washington, Illinois, Arizona, California, Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Maryland, New York, and Washington, DC.

Akihiro Yonaiyama, Deaf artist from Japan and former roommate of Chuck Baird, will also be in attendance. To see a list of particpants, visit here.



The purpose for this retreat will be to focus on the beginning development of cross-curricular planning of De’VIA at all educational levels for schools across the country.
